Halloween Horror Festival at Movie Park: Dates, Mazes and Tips

Halloween Horror Festival returns to Movie Park Germany in 2026. The park has confirmed a run on selected dates from September 26 to November 8, 2026. It will be the event’s 28th edition and part of Movie Park’s 30th-anniversary season.

The key confirmed news is a new Halloween maze. Its name, theme, age rating and opening date have not yet been announced. The same applies to the complete list of houses, shows and scare zones. Anyone travelling specifically for one attraction should therefore wait for the official 2026 line-up before booking paid extras.

2026 dates: what is confirmed

Movie Park gives September 26 to November 8, 2026 as the event period, while stressing that Halloween Horror Festival takes place only on selected dates. A complete, reliable list of every event evening had not been released at the time of research.

The park’s current ticket guidance explains the basic rhythm: Halloween Horror Festival runs on days when the park is open until 9 or 10 pm, and the evening programme usually starts at 6 pm. A day ticket is valid from 10 am. Arriving well before 6 pm is still sensible if you want to combine rides, mazes and the evening atmosphere.

These are organiser statements, not a guarantee for a specific opening day or start time. Check the official Halloween calendar and ticket shop shortly before travelling.

What is changing in 2026

So far, the new maze is the only specific Halloween addition announced for 2026. It is being created in the park’s anniversary season. Movie Park has also promised further horror-themed surprises, but has not described them yet.

The overall scale is confirmed: more than 280 monsters are expected to return to the studio grounds, alongside established horror mazes, scare zones and several shows. This is a programme framework rather than a final 2026 line-up. The current information does not show which previous houses or shows will return, change or be replaced.

That distinction matters. Names still visible on the Halloween page, including Blood Moon Trailer Park, Ahoj-Brause Horror Lab and Unhallowed 2, belong to the 2025 presentation. They are not confirmations for 2026. They should not be used for a travel plan until Movie Park explicitly announces them again.

The June casting does show that production is under way. The park recruited adults aged 18 and over to perform in the haunted houses and around the park, ideally across all event days. It separately sought staff aged 16 and over for the family-focused children’s Halloween in Nickelodeon LAND.

Park admission is not maze admission

The most important rule for first-time visitors is that a regular day ticket does not automatically include every horror extra. According to the current shop guidance, the horror houses/mazes and a Studio 7 show are excluded from standard park admission during the autumn period. Timed tickets are booked separately, and individual attractions may have age restrictions.

A practical booking order is:

Choose the desired event date and secure park admission first.
Check horror houses and shows separately in the official shop.
Leave at least 30 minutes between two horror houses, following the park’s current booking recommendation.
Recheck the ticket, time slot, age rule and any accompaniment requirement for each extra.

Prices and available slots can vary by date and demand, so this article deliberately gives no fixed price. The amount shown in the official checkout for the selected date is the binding one.

Who is the festival for?

Movie Park warns that the Halloween programme after 6 pm may be too intense for children. Fog, darkness, loud sound, masks and performers appearing unexpectedly are part of the experience. The dedicated horror extras may also have their own age limits.

Nickelodeon LAND hosts a separate, more family-oriented children’s Halloween offering. That helps, but it does not remove the need for a personal judgement: children respond very differently to dark sets and monsters that may be visible elsewhere in the park. Adults should not rely on a general age recommendation alone.

Visitor masks and costumes are not allowed under the current Halloween guidance. Alcoholic drinks may not be brought onto the grounds, and bag checks may take place.

A sensible plan for the evening

An event night is easier to enjoy when everything is not postponed until after 6 pm. Many standard rides are already available during the day. The park changes dramatically at dusk, while queues for horror attractions and food can increase.

Arrive early. Use the daytime for standard rides before the evening programme begins. 2. Space out timed entries. Do not book mazes back-to-back; allow for walking and decompression time. 3. Keep night rides flexible. Many roller coasters and rides are also open in the evening, making a good break between intense attractions. 4. Do not assume the full 2025 programme will return. The new maze is confirmed; further names and details are pending. 5. Plan the journey home. At 9 or 10 pm, many guests head to parking, shuttle services or public transport at the same time.

For scare actors, make-up artists and haunt operators, the festival is also useful as an audience-facing case study. The mix of freely roaming park areas, timed mazes and shows makes it possible to observe how different intensity levels and visitor flows are handled over one night. It is not a backstage tour, but it can be a focused way to look at timing, transitions, lighting and performer distance.

What should not be treated as confirmed yet

As of summer 2026, several elements remain open:

the new maze’s name, theme and age rating;
the full list of mazes, scare zones and shows;
exact event days within the announced period;
prices and individual time slots for horror extras;
possible changes to VIP, Speedy or S.I.K. options.

This reflects the current release schedule, not a weakness of the event. Movie Park has confirmed that production is happening without publishing its complete programme. The clean editorial approach is to state what is confirmed, avoid carrying over 2025 attractions and make the open points visible.

Halloween Horror Festival remains one of the major German theme-park dates of the autumn. For 2026, the selected date range, the 28th edition, more than 280 monsters and a new maze are confirmed. Details about that maze and the full programme still need to follow.

Visitors wanting a Halloween evening with rides and park atmosphere can save the period now. Anyone who wants to experience as many mazes as possible, or is travelling for a specific house, should wait for the final programme and calendar. That is when park admission and paid extras can be planned properly together.
