Traumatica: Dates, News and Visitor Guide

Traumatica enters its 2026 season with a double anniversary: Europa-Park is promoting 20 years of horror and ten years of Traumatica. The preview takes place on 23 September, followed by event nights through 7 November. One practical change has already been confirmed: the food court opens at 6pm, one hour before the horror attractions.

Confirmed 2026 dates

The preview is on Wednesday, 23 September. Further nights are scheduled for 25 and 26 September; 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 and 31 October; and 1, 5, 6 and 7 November.

The entrance area opens at 5.45pm. The food court follows at 6pm, with the main site and attractions opening at 7pm. The houses close at 11.30pm. Allow additional time for security and bag checks when planning arrival.

What changes in the anniversary year?

The earlier food-court opening is the clearest operational change announced so far. It gives visitors time to eat before the houses start, although it will not remove the first rush at popular attractions. Anyone prioritising a particular house should still begin the night with a clear plan.

THE FORBIDDEN Club opens on Fridays and Saturdays. Europa-Park also lists Vampire’s Club and Vampire’s Club VIP for guests wanting to continue after the regular houses close. These are additions to the main event and need to be considered separately when choosing tickets and arranging transport.

The complete 2026 attraction line-up is being added to the official event information over time. Names and concepts from 2025 should not be treated as confirmed automatically.

Tickets, age limit and rules

Traumatica is restricted to visitors aged 16 and over. Costumes are not permitted. Scare actors must not be touched, and heavily intoxicated visitors may be refused entry. The organiser also states that the event is not suitable for pregnant guests because of its intense effects.

Parking in the Europa-Park visitor car park is charged separately. Hotel guests can reach the site via the EP-Express in Greece from 7.15pm; before that, access is through the regular Traumatica entrance.

The standard Event Pass starts at €33 according to the organiser. Shoxter Pass and Psycho Pass are separate premium products, with availability and pricing varying by date. Additional experiences such as THE FORBIDDEN, THE HOTEL and Brain Shocker VR are not automatically part of standard admission.

Europa-Park lists a reduced €20 ticket for wheelchair users, sold only at the evening box office with appropriate documentation. Accompanying visitors need regular tickets. Some areas and attractions have limited accessibility, so check the latest guidance before buying.

Planning a visit

Traumatica is a standalone evening event rather than an ordinary Halloween afternoon inside Europa-Park. Visitors aiming to complete several houses should arrive early, separate food-court and club plans from the maze schedule, and arrange transport for after 11.30pm. Thursdays and Sundays may be alternatives to high-demand Fridays and Saturdays, but short queues are never guaranteed.

Visitor perspectives from previous seasons

Visitor reports are not reliable evidence for the 2026 programme, but they can help set expectations. A first-visit vlog focuses on the perspective of a newcomer, while TowersStreet’s October 2025 trip report places the event within a wider Europa-Park and Rulantica visit.

The feedback is not uniform. Theme Park Guide’s 2025 review is strongly positive about atmosphere and production values. By contrast, ScareZone’s critical review illustrates how scare intensity, pacing and the gap between expectation and experience can vary from person to person.
