Usage Guidelines
Last updated: 9 September 2026
BESO Berlin covers horror, scare acting, character design, make-up, special effects, horror events and related creative topics. These guidelines are intended to support safe, fair and transparent use of our content.
1. Content and practical use
BESO Berlin content is provided for information, entertainment and creative learning. It does not replace medical, legal or professional safety advice.
Instructions and exercises are used at your own responsibility and must be adapted to the situation, manufacturer instructions and applicable laws and rules.
Do not touch, follow, film or involve other people in performances without their consent. Exercises, props and practical effects must not endanger people, animals or property.
Horror content may include depictions or descriptions of blood, injury, death and other typical horror elements and may not be suitable for children or sensitive audiences.
2. Copyright and downloads
Texts, images, graphics, illustrations, videos, worksheets and other original BESO Berlin content are protected by copyright unless stated otherwise. Linking to our articles is permitted and welcome.
Materials offered for download may be saved, printed and used for personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise stated. Republishing them, offering them as your own download, commercially exploiting them or removing copyright or source information is not permitted without permission. Statutory exceptions, including quotation rights, remain unaffected.
Brands, characters, films, series, games and other third-party works mentioned on BESO Berlin remain the property of their respective rights holders. Editorial coverage does not imply an official or commercial relationship.
3. Comments
Comments should support respectful and constructive discussion. Insults, threats, discriminatory or unlawful content, spam, personal data of third parties and content infringing third-party rights are not permitted.
BESO Berlin may hold, edit or remove comments that violate these rules, endanger third-party rights or seriously disrupt discussion. There is no entitlement to publication or permanent availability of a comment.
4. Submissions to the Nightmare Navigator
You may suggest locations, events and other suitable entries for the Nightmare Navigator. Please submit only information that you believe to be accurate and that may lawfully be published.
False or misleading information, unlawful content, unrelated advertising, personal data of uninvolved third parties and text or images for which you do not hold the required rights are not permitted.
By submitting text or images intended for publication, you confirm that you are entitled to do so and grant BESO Berlin a non-exclusive right to store, editorially adapt and make the submitted material publicly available in connection with the Nightmare Navigator and BESO Berlin’s editorial coverage. Your remaining statutory rights in the material are unaffected.
BESO Berlin may review, shorten, edit, reject or later remove submissions. There is no entitlement to publication or permanent availability.
5. Affiliate links, advertising and editorial independence
Some articles and recommendations contain affiliate links. If a purchase or booking is completed through such a link, BESO Berlin may receive a commission. This generally does not create additional costs for users.
Affiliate links and other commercial content are labelled accordingly. The possibility of receiving a commission does not give an event organiser, manufacturer, shop or other provider automatic editorial influence over our coverage.
6. Accuracy and external offers
BESO Berlin aims to provide carefully researched and current information. Event dates, prices, opening hours, age restrictions, availability, products and other details may nevertheless change at short notice. Where in doubt, the current information provided by the relevant organiser, manufacturer, shop or other provider is authoritative.
External websites are responsible for their own content and privacy practices.
7. Contact
Errors, suspected rights infringements or problematic content can be reported using the contact details in our Imprint.
