What to expect in 2026
The event listing promotes multiple areas, several DJs, XXL Halloween decorations, special effects and surprises. It also advertises “more than 1,200 guests.” The concept is therefore clearly positioned as a large Halloween club night rather than a standalone horror attraction.

The venue: The Livingroom
The Livingroom itself is a relatively new club venue. According to a report by the Hannover Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the former club on the site underwent a major rebuild. Features mentioned include a Boiler Room-style DJ booth, a roughly 15-metre LED screen, VIP areas overlooking the dance floor and a regular capacity of up to around 400 guests.
That means the event promotion’s “more than 1,200 guests” should be understood as an organiser claim rather than an independently confirmed simultaneous club capacity. It may, for example, refer to total attendance over the course of the night or simply be a marketing figure.

Looking back at 2025: Halloween in the Lutherkirche
In 2025, a large Halloween night in Hannover was also promoted under the name “Hannover’s biggest Halloween party”, this time at the Lutherkirche. A contemporary report described a music mix of RnB, 2000s hits and house, along with laser effects, horror attractions and a live scare show.
This gives some context for the scale and production style associated with major Halloween parties in Hannover in the previous year. However, the identical or very similar wording does not prove that the 2025 and 2026 events have exactly the same organiser or concept.

Who is this event for?
The XXL Halloween Festival is mainly suited to visitors looking for a large Halloween party with a club atmosphere. Costumes, music, lighting, decorations and effects are the focus. If you are primarily looking for walkthroughs, scare actors or a classic haunted house, this is not the most suitable category.
