Ozzy Osbourne Gets His Own Haunted House at Universal
The Prince of Darkness is boarding the “Crazy Train” one more time for Halloween Horror Nights 2026: “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” is coming to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood as a brand-new haunted house. The attractions are set to turn more than four decades of Ozzy’s solo career into walk-through horror, combining music, imagery from his album worlds and plenty of bat-themed dark humor.
This is not simply the same maze duplicated on both coasts. Orlando and Hollywood are deliberately getting different versions. The Osbourne family was closely involved: Sharon Osbourne reportedly reviewed the designs regularly, while Jack Osbourne supported the idea of creating two distinct interpretations.
What Can Guests Expect Inside the Haunted House?
According to the creative team, the Orlando version begins inside a Gothic church or sinister temple. From there, guests move past hooded followers, concert visions and a dungeon inspired by “Patient Number 9”. The imagery then turns into a dark greatest-hits experience: a giant bat reverses the infamous bat-biting moment, the werewolf from “Bark at the Moon” waits in the graveyard, and Ozzy himself takes over as conductor of the “Crazy Train”.

Two Coasts, Two Different Nightmares
Some core elements, including the “Crazy Train”, appear on both coasts. Beyond that, however, the productions are designed to differ significantly. In Hollywood, the journey is more closely connected to Ozzy’s roots in Birmingham and the surreal worlds of his 13 solo albums. Based on the details released so far, Orlando leans more heavily into the Gothic cult setting, dungeon, graveyard and a large throne-room finale.
That split makes the project particularly interesting for fans: instead of receiving a copy, each coast gets its own interpretation of the same music legend. It suits a visual world that has always moved between black humor, monster movies, religious provocation and oversized rock spectacle.
Why the House Is Interesting for Scare Actors
For performers, the challenge is likely to be less about realistic monster acting and more about switching precisely between rock-star posture and horror character. Ozzy’s body language is instantly recognizable: arms spread wide, torso leaning slightly forward, round glasses and direct engagement with the audience. Anyone playing a role inspired by him has to reference that silhouette without turning it into a simple caricature.
The scenes also allow for very different scare rhythms. Hooded followers lend themselves to slow, ritualized movement; graveyard and werewolf sequences can support aggressive changes of direction; and inside the “Crazy Train”, sound, lighting and moving scenery can build anticipation before the actual scare lands. The fact that many guests already know the songs and imagery should make this especially effective: the house can establish familiar expectations and then deliberately break them.
Dates and Event Details
“Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” opens on August 28, 2026 at Universal Orlando and on September 3, 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Both versions are scheduled to remain part of Halloween Horror Nights through November 1, 2026. Admission is not included with a regular daytime park ticket; the evening event requires a separate, date-specific ticket.
The concept also has history behind it. In 2013, Ozzy, Black Sabbath and Universal Studios Hollywood already collaborated on the “Black Sabbath: 13 3D” maze. The new house shifts the focus to Ozzy’s full solo career for the first time. That makes it feel less like a conventional licensed house and more like a loud, walk-through and deliberately macabre tribute.
