Horror Nights at Filmpark Babelsberg: our Halloween favourite

Filmpark Babelsberg's Horror Nights are one of our editorial favourites in the 2026 Halloween calendar. The reason is refreshingly practical: the event combines a cinematic, walkable setting with horror mazes, scare zones and a large closing show – and the maze and scare-zone experiences are included in the standard event ticket. Visitors who want to explore more than a single show can move through different settings at their own pace, making this a particularly coherent full-evening event.

The season runs for ten nights from 9 October to 7 November. Fog-filled corridors, performers and effects form the core concept, with every night ending in the Volcano Arena. A dedicated Halloween Special is announced for 31 October.

Why we recommend Horror Nights

At many Halloween events, the final cost is built from separate decisions: entry, individual houses, fast passes or a closing show. Babelsberg starts from a more guest-friendly position: the ticket includes the horror mazes and scare zones. Visitors can try the different areas without having to decide whether each additional maze is worth an extra purchase.

That suits the setting. The park uses its sets and pathways as part of the experience, not merely as routes between individual attractions. The official description mentions labyrinthine corridors and demonic figures, while the Volcano Arena finale gives the evening a clear climax. In our view, this makes Horror Nights particularly appealing for groups: you can arrive with a plan, let the atmosphere lead you for a while, and still have a shared finale to aim for.

Filmpark Babelsberg has not yet released the names or detailed concepts for every 2026 attraction. Previous line-ups should therefore not be treated as confirmation for the new season. That does not change the appeal of an inclusive, walk-through horror event.

All confirmed dates for 2026

Horror Nights take place on Fridays and Saturdays:

9 and 10 October
16 and 17 October
23 and 24 October
30 and 31 October – Halloween Special on 31 October
6 and 7 November

Admission and the event start are listed as 6.30pm. Every night concludes with a show in the Volcano Arena; admission to the arena begins at 10.40pm and the show starts at 11pm. The park's opening-hours information lists Horror Nights through 11.30pm.

It documents an earlier season and should not be read as a confirmed preview of the 2026 programme, but it gives a useful impression of the event's scale and atmosphere.

Age limit, health advice and admission rules

Horror Nights are for visitors aged 16 and over. Children and teenagers under 16 are not admitted, including when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Because of shock effects, the organiser says that some horror attractions are unsuitable for pregnant visitors and people with pacemakers or circulatory conditions, epilepsy or asthma.

Full costumes and full-face masks are not allowed. Drinks, backpacks and large bags larger than DIN A4, walking umbrellas and dogs are also prohibited. Security checks take place at admission, so travelling light is the easiest way to start the evening.

For visitors with a disability and the German “B” designation on their documentation, Filmpark Babelsberg states that the visitor buys a regular advance ticket; one accompanying person receives free entry on presenting the documentation at admission. No separate registration for the companion is required.

How to make the most of the night

Arriving early is worthwhile. It leaves time to explore the included mazes and scare zones without rushing before the late Volcano Arena show becomes the evening's fixed point. We recommend arranging tickets and the journey home especially early for 31 October, which is likely to be the season's most sought-after date.

Our verdict: anyone looking for a proper horror night of sets, performers and multiple experiences, rather than just one attraction, should put Babelsberg on their 2026 shortlist. The inclusive format makes the cost easy to understand – and that is precisely why it is one of our Halloween favourites.
