By day, it is all roller coasters, families and theme park fun. Once darkness falls, the atmosphere changes completely.
In October, monsters, killers and other creatures take over Plopsaland Deutschland in Haßloch. The Halloween Fright Nights 2026 bring haunted houses, open scare zones and live shows to the park.
Two of the haunted houses are completely new this year.
This Is What the Fright Nights Look Like
If you have never visited the Halloween Fright Nights before, this official video gives you a good idea of the atmosphere:
The video shows the 2025 Fright Nights. The basic concept remains the same in 2026, but new haunted attractions and shows have been added.
Six Haunted Houses – and Two Are New
If you really want to experience the horror, sooner or later you will end up in front of one of the six haunted houses.
New for 2026 is NEXUS AI. Visitors become test subjects in a secret experiment controlled by artificial intelligence. What starts as a controlled test quickly turns into something much less pleasant.
Also new is LOST: Deep in the Woods. The story takes you deep into the Palatinate Forest, where people have been disappearing without a trace.
Four familiar attractions also return.
At the Academy of Freaks, a disturbing circus is looking for new members. The Titty Twister takes you inside a run-down bar where staying too long may not be a good idea.
Then there is the Schnitzelhaus, where the butcher seems to have a rather unusual idea of what counts as fresh meat.
And finally, Mad Rat combines human experiments with giant rats.
That rarely ends well.
The Horror Is Waiting Outside Too
Leaving a haunted house does not mean you are safe.
Three areas of the park become open scare zones where actors move freely among visitors.
In Scarecrow, creepy figures hide between fields and straw. Skrämma brings violent Vikings into Wickieland, while Murder District turns the area around Sky Scream into a lawless zone filled with dangerous characters.
Unlike the haunted houses, these scare zones are included in the normal park admission.
Visitors who do not want to be approached by scare actors can also get a Schreck-Stopp wristband, which tells performers to leave them alone.
And Yes, You Can Ride Roller Coasters in Between
That is one of the best parts of the Fright Nights.
This is not just one haunted maze.
You can escape from a dark forest, walk through a scare zone, ride Expedition GeForce or Sky Scream in the dark and then head straight into the next haunted attraction.
There are also DJs and several live shows throughout the evening.
New for 2026 is The Killing Games, a wrestling show inside Murder District.
At the end of the night, Carnival Inferno combines light effects, lasers, fire and fireworks.
Dates and Tickets for 2026
The Halloween Fright Nights take place on ten evenings:
October 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31, 2026
On these dates, the park stays open until 10 PM.
The event is recommended for visitors aged 16 and over.
Regular park tickets currently start at €39. This includes the scare zones, shows, Fright Festival and rides.
The haunted houses cost extra.
Entry to a single haunted house starts at €3. Visitors who want to experience all six can book the Haunted House Package for €49. Park admission is not included in that package.
There is also a Nightmare Society Pass from €109, which includes park admission and one-time access to all six haunted houses without fixed time slots.

Verdict
The Halloween Fright Nights are a good choice if one haunted house simply is not enough.
You can get chased through a dark forest, run into creepy scare actors, ride a roller coaster at night and then find out why entering the Schnitzelhaus may have been a bad idea.
With NEXUS AI and LOST: Deep in the Woods, there are also two completely new attractions for 2026.
There is just one thing to keep in mind when buying tickets: the three scare zones are included, but the six main haunted houses cost extra.
If you want to experience as many of them as possible, it is worth planning your time slots before your visit rather than leaving everything until the evening.
