DIEBURG. “Halloween auf Schloss Alsbach” returns in 2026. From October 16 to November 1, the EHS grounds in Dieburg will be transformed into a horror world spanning more than 10,000 square meters, featuring seven scare zones, live shows, and dozens of monster performers.
What makes the event stand out is its full-contact horror concept. Scare actors are not only allowed to frighten visitors — they may also block their path, touch them, or suddenly emerge from the darkness.

Halloween auf Schloss Alsbach takes place in Dieburg in 2026
Despite its name, the event will once again not take place at Schloss Alsbach in 2026.
Due to renovation work at the castle, the event has moved to the larger EHS grounds in Dieburg.

According to the organizer, Dieburg train station is around 5 to 10 minutes away on foot. Parking is available directly at the event site and is included in the ticket price.
Seven scare zones across more than 10,000 square meters
Seven different horror areas have been announced for the 2026 season.
Cornfield
A sinister mix of an old mill, fields, scarecrows, and hillbillies. Classic backwoods horror that should become especially effective after dark.
Sumpf der Verdammten
Fog, swamp witches, and an old torture site create a damp and deeply unsettling atmosphere.
Dark Forest
Dark paths, limited visibility, and werewolves waiting somewhere among the trees.
Slaughterhouse
Meat scraps, tools, blood, sounds, and smells are designed to trigger not only fear but also a deliberate sense of disgust.
Freakshow
Clowns, fortune tellers, and a disturbing circus atmosphere meet direct interaction with visitors.
Bloody Xmas
Christmas has gone terribly wrong here: broken decorations, blood, and inhabitants who are anything but festive.
Anstalt X
A combination of military prison and psychiatric institution, featuring narrow corridors, cells, and an environment that increasingly spirals out of control.
Full contact: The monsters can get closer
The biggest difference compared with many traditional haunted houses is the event’s full-contact concept.
Performers may, for example:
- touch visitors,
- hold them by the arm,
- block their path,
- surprise them from behind,
- or whisper something into their ear.
Dangerous actions or hitting visitors are, of course, not permitted.
Even so, the possibility of physical contact alone makes the experience considerably more intense.
Anyone walking through a scare zone cannot assume that the monster will politely stay two meters away.

More than 80 monster performers announced
A recent hessenschau report about the monster casting for the 2026 season shows just how much work goes into creating the characters.
More than 80 performers are expected to take part in the event.
The casting process is not just about costumes and makeup. Acting ability, movement, body language, and interaction with visitors are equally important.

What visitors should know before attending
Halloween auf Schloss Alsbach is primarily an open-air event.
Not all areas are covered, so sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing are recommended.
Also important:
- According to the organizer, only cash payments are accepted on site.
- Large bags and backpacks are not permitted.
- Visitors may not wear full-face masks.
- Costumes, however, are welcome.
- Dogs are not allowed on the event grounds.
- Parts of the site consist of uneven ground.
The regular ticket includes admission, access to the scare zones and show area, as well as parking.
VIP tickets are also available and include a separate VIP area, buffet, drinks, and a meet & greet with selected performers.
Our impression: An exciting choice for fans of intense horror events
Seven scare zones, more than 10,000 square meters of event space, over 80 monsters, and live shows already make the event sound impressive on paper.
But the most important feature remains the full-contact concept.
Seeing a monster behind a set piece is one thing.
Not knowing whether it will suddenly appear behind you and grab your arm is something else entirely.
Anyone who enjoys haunted houses, scare attractions, and immersive horror experiences should definitely keep “Halloween auf Schloss Alsbach” on their radar for October 2026.

Halloween in Dieburg 2026
Auf über 10.000 m² warten bei Halloween in Dieburg sieben Horror-Mazes mit neun Themenbereichen. Dark Forest, Slaughterhouse, Freakshow, Cornfield, Anstalt X und weitere Horrorwelten schicken Besucher durch unterschiedlich inszenierte Szenarien. Dazu gibt es Theater-, Tanz- und Feuershows auf der Hauptbühne. Das Event findet überwiegend Open Air statt und arbeitet laut Veranstalter auch mit Vollkontakt.
Die Veranstaltung läuft jeweils von 20:00 bis 00:00 Uhr.
Einlass ist bereits ab 19:00 Uhr.
Der Veranstalter weist darauf hin, dass Tickets an der Abendkasse teurer als im Online-Vorverkauf sind.
Besonders für den Halloween-Abend am Samstag, 31. Oktober, dürfte sich eine frühzeitige Buchung empfehlen.
