Four nights without a safe word, live monsters in a real cornfield and family-friendly scares in four age-based levels: Maislabyrinth Liederbach offers two very different Halloween experiences in 2026. While the Horror Maze is designed around intense scares, the Grusel-Labyrinth is aimed at families and younger Halloween fans.
Four nights of horror in the cornfield
The Horror-Labyrinth takes place on October 23, 24, 30 and 31, 2026. The organizers promise live monsters, darkness, screams and, among other things, the sound of chainsaws.
The most striking detail: there is no safe word in the Horror Maze. Anyone entering should therefore expect a horror experience that is meant to be played through consistently. At the same time, the number of tickets per time slot has once again been reduced so that fewer guests are inside the maze at the same time.
Horror ticket holders also get access to the Halloween grounds from 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.. Food trucks, hot drinks and a suitably spooky Halloween atmosphere are part of the evening program.
Family scares in four different intensity levels
On October 25 and November 1, 2026, the concept becomes much more family-friendly. The Grusel-Labyrinth is divided into four age and intensity levels. Unlike the adult Horror Maze, this version does have a safe word: once it is spoken, the performers leave that person alone.
- Ghost Maze: 3:00–3:30 p.m. – recommended for ages 3–5
- Bat Maze: 3:30–4:30 p.m. – recommended for ages 6–7
- Vampire Maze: 4:30–5:30 p.m. – recommended for ages 8–10
- Werewolf Maze: 5:30–7:30 p.m. – recommended for ages 11–13
The later the time slot, the more active and frightening the monsters become. It is a smart approach to family Halloween: a three-year-old and a thirteen-year-old are deliberately not given the same scare level.
Outside the maze, the family program includes spooky football mini golf, a straw-bale play area, food and drinks. Visitors can also carve a Halloween pumpkin for an additional €5, according to the organizers.

Important: the video was published in 2016 and therefore does not show the exact 2026 program, but it does give a useful impression of the atmosphere and the performers.
Tickets are heavily limited
Both maze formats use fixed entry time slots. For the Horror Maze in particular, the organizers point out that ticket numbers have been significantly reduced. Anyone hoping to visit on a specific night should therefore avoid waiting until the last minute.
Punctuality also matters: the booked time slot is binding. According to the organizers, guests who arrive too late are no longer guaranteed admission.

Getting there: public transport may be easier
The maze is located at Hofheimer Weg 3, 65835 Liederbach, Germany. It is relatively easy to reach by public transport: the RB12 between Frankfurt Central Station and Königstein stops at Liederbach/Niederhofheim station, which the organizers say is about a five-minute walk from the site.
Drivers should not head directly to the maze or park in the village. The designated parking area is in the Kelkheim-Münster industrial district around Industriestraße 10, 65779 Kelkheim. A shuttle bus runs from there to the event site.
Because the Halloween experience takes place in an actual cornfield, sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are strongly recommended. The paths are unpaved.
Why Liederbach stands out in 2026
What makes the concept particularly interesting is the clear separation between the two formats. Instead of trying to make one Halloween event suitable for every age group, Liederbach offers controlled family scares with a safe word on the one hand, and four dedicated horror nights advertised with “no safe words” on the other.
For scare fans, the location itself adds another layer. Instead of walking through a conventional theme-park set, visitors move through a real cornfield. Dark, narrow paths, rustling plants and restricted visibility already create a natural foundation for effective scares.
