The Halloween season at Heide Park Resort runs from 10 to 31 October 2026. On five late-opening dates, rides operate until 9 pm. Three horror mazes, one scare zone and weather-dependent fireworks extend the daytime programme. As of 19 August 2026, the park has not yet announced the names or stories of this year’s mazes.
2026 dates and opening hours
The five late Halloween dates are:
- Saturday, 10 October 2026
- Saturday, 17 October 2026
- Saturday, 24 October 2026
- Friday, 30 October 2026
- Saturday, 31 October 2026
Attractions are currently scheduled to operate from 12 noon to 9 pm on these dates, with the park closing one hour later. Guests staying at the Adventure Hotel or Holiday Camp can access selected attractions from 11 am.
On the other event dates – 11–16, 18–23 and 25–29 October – the park opens from 10 am to 5 pm. Some water rides and attractions that cannot be fully monitored after dark may close around dusk.
What is confirmed for 2026
During the day, Heide Park is planning a family-oriented Halloween programme with decorations, activities, shows and seasonal food. On the five late-opening dates, the horror programme is due to begin at around 4 pm. The park has confirmed:
- three horror mazes
- one scare zone
- rides after dark
- fireworks on all five late-opening dates, weather permitting
The full programme is still to come. Maze names, age restrictions and any timed-entry rules for 2026 therefore remain unconfirmed.
Which horror mazes will return?
In 2025, the park operated Parasomnis, Grand Hotel Morton and SubTerra as its horror mazes. All three had a minimum age of 16 that year. This is historical context, not a 2026 announcement. Heide Park may change the attractions, stories and access rules.
Anyone travelling for a particular maze should wait for the full 2026 programme. An independent vlog by Die Stoppis offers a personal look at Parasomnis, night rides and the atmosphere of the 2025 edition; it does not document this year’s event.
Tickets and annual passes
The current general dated online ticket price starts at €37, while the gate price is listed as €64. These are general day-ticket prices and do not confirm possible supplements or reservations for the horror mazes. Check exactly which Halloween activities are included before booking.
On 31 October, holders of the Heide Park Silver Annual Pass and Merlin Adventure Pass need a separate reservation ticket. Capacity is limited, and reservations are expected to become available when the special Halloween or evening tickets go on sale.
The Bronze Annual Pass is not valid on several Halloween dates in 2026: 10, 17, 18, 24, 30 and 31 October are excluded. Heide Park says that paying a supplement is not possible, so a regular ticket is required on those dates.
Planning for families and horror fans
Families can experience decorations and daytime activities on the standard opening days without staying for the later horror programme. Visitors interested in the horror mazes, scare zone, fireworks and night rides need to choose one of the five late-opening dates. Early booking and a careful check of reservation rules are particularly advisable for 31 October.
Costumes are allowed as long as they do not disturb other guests. Imitation weapons, chainsaws and axes are prohibited. Masks are generally permitted. Families should be aware that scare performers, fog, darkness and loud effects may also appear outside the mazes.
Drivers can reach the park via the A7 and the Soltau-Ost exit. Rail passengers can travel to Wolterdingen (HAN) and walk the remaining distance. An overnight stay at the resort or in the Soltau area can make the late dates easier to manage.

Heide Park’s Halloween format has one clear advantage over stand-alone horror events: major rides continue operating until 9 pm on the late dates. Visitors who want both roller coasters after dark and staged horror get a varied evening. The important unknowns are the design of the three 2026 mazes and whether they will require extra payment or reservations.
The shorter opening days are the more straightforward choice for families. Horror fans should choose one of the five late dates but wait for maze names, age rules and detailed ticket information before finalising their plans.
