Family-friendly Halloween by day, more intense horror from 4:30 p.m.: BELANTIS splits its 2026 Halloween season into Spooky Days and Horror Nights. Add haunted mazes, live scare actors, night rides and fireworks – and this year the horror mazes are included in the regular park admission.
If you are looking for Halloween in Leipzig, a Halloween theme park in Saxony or horror mazes in eastern Germany, BELANTIS offers two very different moods within the same day. Until the afternoon, things stay family-friendly. After that, the park gets considerably darker.
When is Halloween at BELANTIS in 2026?
Halloween at BELANTIS runs from October 21 to November 1, 2026. On event days, the park is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.. BELANTIS is closed on October 26 and 27.
- October 21–25, 2026
- October 28–November 1, 2026
That also makes BELANTIS an option for anyone specifically searching for a Halloween event in Leipzig on October 31.
Spooky Days or Horror Nights – what is the difference?
Spooky Days until 4:00 p.m.
The Spooky Days are aimed primarily at families and are recommended for children aged 4 and over. Halloween decorations, shows, characters and family-friendly spooky attractions are the main focus.
For families with younger children looking for a Halloween day out in Leipzig or Saxony, this is the gentler side of the event.
Horror Nights from 4:30 p.m.
From 4:30 p.m., the Horror Nights begin. BELANTIS advertises more intense horror, sinister characters and special horror highlights. The Horror Nights are generally recommended for visitors aged 12 and over.
These are not two separate events. You do not need to leave the park at 4:00 p.m., and you do not need a second ticket for the Horror Nights. Visitors arriving during the day can simply stay and watch the atmosphere change as darkness falls.
Are there horror mazes at BELANTIS in 2026?
Yes. Halloween mazes remain one of the central attractions at BELANTIS.
There is also an important change for 2026: the Halloween mazes are included in the regular park admission. You no longer need a separate maze ticket.
That makes the event especially appealing if you want to try several mazes. BELANTIS currently advertises regular day tickets from €29 in its own shop. Its previous Early Bird offer ended on 7 October. The final price at GetYourGuide may be different, so compare like-for-like dates and any fees before booking.
BELANTIS Halloween 2026: which mazes are confirmed?
Updated for 2026: BELANTIS offers three family-friendly mazes by day and five after 4:30pm. All Halloween mazes are included with regular park admission, with no separate maze ticket needed. Check individual age requirements before entering.
- Das Geheimnis der Königsgruft (new, ages 6+): An Egyptian tomb expedition with pharaohs, mummies and ancient gods.
- Sporen des Bösen (new, ages 12+): A new horror maze created in cooperation with French haunted-attraction specialist FX3.
- Zorn des Anubis (new, ages 12+): Opens from 4:30pm and takes visitors into a cursed pyramid where disturbing the pharaoh’s rest has consequences.
Other established attractions, including Fantastische Wesen, Fluch des Imhotep and Irrgarten des Schreckens, remain listed in the park’s attraction directory. Refer to each attraction’s current opening information rather than treating a 2025 list as the confirmed complete 2026 line-up.
What age are the BELANTIS Horror Nights suitable for?
BELANTIS generally recommends the Horror Nights for visitors aged 12 and over. That does not mean a 12-year-old can enter every horror maze.
Individual attractions have their own age restrictions. Maze of Terror, for example, is listed for visitors aged 16 and over. These minimum ages also apply when younger visitors are accompanied by their parents.
Are there live scare actors at BELANTIS Halloween?
Yes. BELANTIS uses real Halloween performers and live scare actors.
The actors are not limited to the horror mazes. They can also appear outside the attractions around the park. BELANTIS itself has featured its Halloween performers in official behind-the-scenes content, including a long-time actor playing an executioner who describes scaring guests both inside the maze and outdoors in the park.
That makes an important difference compared with static scenery or animatronics: the scares are not completely predictable. Performers can react to individual guests, adjust their timing and play their characters directly.
For the 2026 Horror Nights, BELANTIS again promises sinister characters and more intense horror. The exact characters and number of scare actors have not yet been announced.

These recordings from the 2025 Halloween season give a good impression of BELANTIS after dark, including the atmosphere, lighting and event operation around the park.
What else is there besides the horror mazes?
BELANTIS treats Halloween 2026 as a full-park experience. Announced highlights include Halloween decorations throughout the park, shows and entertainment, seasonal food, children’s activities and rides in the dark.
Night rides are particularly worth noting. A roller coaster that feels fairly harmless in daylight can feel completely different when the track disappears into the darkness ahead.
BELANTIS also advertises fireworks as part of the Halloween programme.
Do you need a special Halloween ticket?
No. A regular BELANTIS day ticket is sufficient for Halloween 2026. There is no separate evening ticket for the Horror Nights, and the Halloween mazes are already included in the park admission.

Is the BELANTIS AbenteuerPass valid during Halloween?
Yes. The 2026 BELANTIS AbenteuerPass includes admission during the Halloween season. Season-pass holders therefore do not generally need an additional Halloween ticket.
Some bring-a-friend benefits have exceptions around Halloween, particularly on October 31 and November 1, 2026.
Is Halloween at BELANTIS suitable for children?
Yes. That is precisely what the Spooky Days / Horror Nights split is designed for. Families with younger children can focus on the Spooky Days until 4:00 p.m., which are recommended from age four.
After that, the park gradually shifts towards the more intense horror programme. Families do not automatically have to leave – the times are intended as guidance so visitors can decide when the experience becomes too intense for them.
Where is BELANTIS?
BELANTIS is located south of Leipzig:
BELANTIS – Das AbenteuerReich
Zur Weißen Mark 1
04249 Leipzig
Germany
The location makes the event particularly convenient for visitors from Leipzig, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Brandenburg.
Is BELANTIS Halloween 2026 worth visiting?
For BESO, BELANTIS is especially interesting because it combines family Halloween and haunted-attraction elements within the same day.
Families can start with the Spooky Days and child-friendly mazes. Anyone searching for Horror Nights near Leipzig, live scare actors or horror mazes in Saxony can stay after sunset.
And 2026 brings one major advantage: the horror mazes no longer cost extra.
That makes it much easier to simply open the next door. Whether that is a good idea inside Maze of Terror is another question.
